SmartNet-100 delivers a robust 100% wireless fire detection and alarm systems that allows for a maximum of 100 devices on the network.
It is ideal for small to medium sized projects where the scalability of SmartNet Pro is not required.
SmartNet-100 has many of the features and benefits of the SmartNet-Pro range including the fact it is an EN 54 certified and 100% wireless fire detection and alarm system. SmartNet-100 is still up to 20 times faster to install than wired systems and rapidly detects and alerts users to signs of smoke or fire, whilst also being resilient to false alarms. It is reliable, robust, and there is no need for wired boosters, translators, or any other wired element, which removes the often stressful first fix stage of an installation.

Maximum of 100 devices
SmartNet-100 allows installers to design a system featuring up to 100 devices from one control panel. The network is built on a combination of battery powered radio devices, operating on a self-forming, self-healing mesh network using the renowned and patented Cygnus protocol across 10 frequency channels operating at 865-868 MHz. The control panel is mains power operated.
Cost effective solution
By eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming cabling, SmartNet-100 dramatically reduces engineering time and overall project costs. With only 100 devices allowed on the network and one control panel, configuration is a simple process. There is also no need for wired boosters, translators or any other wired element, which removes the often stressful first fix stage of an installation.

Mesh Analyser - Enhanced Diagnostic Tool
The Cygnus Mesh Analyser software provides a graphical display of a SmartNet fire detection and alarm system network, revealing mesh signal strengths and connection paths for each device in the system. The Mesh Analyser interrogates the device mesh showing the connections paths and audit trail of all current and previous network connections. As well as visualising the mesh status, installers can download a PDF report which outlines the network health with suggested actions that could strengthen the mesh network. The free software is easily downloadable from Cygnus’ customer support portal and loaded with the mesh file from the SmartNet control panel. The outcome is a more efficient installation and commissioning process, ensuring installers and end-users have a robust and stable network.
Site Survey Kit
The Site Survey kit allows installers to deploy three bespoke detectors that replicate the mesh network to ensure the suitability of the system for the environment. It is particularly helpful in areas of high attention. During the site survey, the Cygnus team will demonstrate the signal strengths between the control panel and devices and a visual indicator will confirm the connection via multiple paths, providing guidance to the correct number of devices and their location throughout the site. By ensuring that the wireless sensor network is set up for maximum reliability and efficiency, it saves time during installation and on future call outs.
Portable Programming Unit (PPU)
The PPU allows installers to run firmware updates and update device configurations wirelessly while they are on site, making the whole process faster and more efficient for areas that are hard to access. The installer simply selects the devices that need to be updated, which are then dropped into a programming mode, and updated before rejoining the main mesh network seamlessly.
