Bull Products and Cygnus are delighted to have been shortlisted for a West Midlands Business of the Year Award. The companies have been shortlisted together in the ‘Fast Growth Business’ category and winners will be revealed at a high-profile awards evening on Thursday 22nd February at the MacDonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.

A Fantastic Year
At the beginning of 2023, Cygnus launched its ground-breaking EN 54 certified SmartNet system, the world’s first 100% wireless fire alarm and detection system. For the first time, it offered the sector a fully wireless system, which is quick and easy to install, and can be scaled effectively from small to large installations, as well as being ideal for retrofit applications. Leading on from the success of SmartNet-Pro, Cygnus has launched SmartNet-100 for small to medium sized projects. Cygnus also opened a new R&D and training facility in Meriden, Birmingham this year. The new Cygnus Technology & Training Centre (TTC) serves as a space for innovation, underscoring Cygnus' steadfast commitment to providing pioneering fire safety solutions. It also marked an expansion of the Cygnus Academy – an in-person, custom training programme for installers seeking to learn about and become a Certified Installer of SmartNet. The Awards
The West Midlands Business of the Year awards celebrate the very best business successes from across the region. The shortlisted companies will be those that are innovating, disrupting and thriving - and want to showcase their achievements.
The judging process has so far seen the shortlisted companies be visited by members of the judging panel. The next stage is for all shortlisted companies to pitch to a panel and explain why they should win an award.
