We Are Attending The Fire Conference

The Cygnus team is attending the FIRE 2024 conference again later this month and will be showcasing our EN 54 certified and 100% wireless fire detection and alarm system, SmartNet. The one-day event takes place on Thursday 24^th October at Savoy Place in London. It is important for us to support the Fire Protection Association (FPA) as well as the wider industry and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

About the conference

The conference is organised by the FPA, the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), and the Fire Sector Federation (FSF). With last year’s event attracting over 500 delegates, it has become the ideal place for the fire safety industry to network, allowing them to come together to discuss and debate the major challenges affecting the sector. The organisers have created a hybrid event, enabling delegates to attend in person or online.

The event will include presentations and workshops by expert speakers from across the industry as well as networking opportunities. Cygnus has a stand at the conference and will be displaying the EN 54 certified and 100% wireless fire detection and alarm system, SmartNet, alongside Cygnus ALERT and the Cygnus Mesh Analyser. SmartNet Fire Detection and Alarm System

SmartNet is EN 54 certified and a BS5839-1 compliant system, which is up to twenty times faster to install than wired systems, with minimal disruption. The SmartNet network is built on a combination of radio devices, operating on a self-forming, self-healing wireless mesh network with multipath network redundancy utilising channel hopping technology, delivering a reliable and robust solution.

Cygnus ALERT

The Cygnus ALERT notification and monitoring platform is a cloud-based solution to strengthen site safety. Using Cygnus ALERT, installers and site administrators can receive event, fault or mesh information in real-time, enabling swift responses to on-site situations. Cygnus ALERT presents easy user management to view and notify across multiple sites, and a variety of environments.

Cygnus Mesh Analyser

The Cygnus Mesh Analyser is an enhanced diagnostic and maintenance tool, delivering a graphical display of mesh signal strengths and connection paths for each device in the system. Furthermore, the Cygnus Mesh Analyser aids the commissioning process of fire safety systems, shows the device history and provides suggestions of how to strengthen the network.
