About the FIA
The Fire Industry Association is the largest fire protection trade association in the UK with 1,000+ members. It is a not-for-profit organisation and a major provider of fire safety training with an objective to promote, improve and perfect fire protection methods, devices, services and apparatus. The FIA achieves this through the representation of our members, providing technical support, guidance and opportunities for professional advancement through education and appropriate regulation.

The EN 54 certified, 100% wireless fire detection and alarm system, SmartNet, offers a reliable, robust and adaptable solution that is up to twenty times faster to install than wired systems. Due to it being 100% wireless, there is no need for gateways, expanders or loop-powered translating devices and features patented self-forming and self-healing wireless mesh technology. From the scalable SmartNet-Pro, ranging from a panel capability of 511 devices and up to 96 zones, with the ability to network up to 5 panels providing a combined solution of over 2500 devices; to the versatile SmartNet-100, enabling systems with up to 100 devices from one control panel, with the ability to network up to 5 panels via a software release code, Cygnus ensures a fire detection and alarm system to meet diverse project requirements.
