The Site Survey kit allows installers to deploy three bespoke detectors, replicating the mesh network to ensure system stability, especially in challenging environments. This ensures installations are optimsed from the start, establishing a strong, secure, and redundant mesh network at the design stage. By maximising wireless sensor network reliability and efficiency, the kit saves installation time and future call-outs.
During the site survey, the Cygnus team will demonstrate the signal strengths between the control panel and devices and a visual indicator will confirm the connection via multiple paths, providing guidance to the correct number of devices and their location throughout the site.

SmartNet is configured and commissioned using a Windows-based configuration tool on a PC, tablet or mobile device. The software simplifies system setup with site specific information input, including an EN 54 check function to flag non-compliant settings, drag-and-drop zone assignment, and automatic addressing. The tool provides complete system visibility, including radio communication paths, signal integrity, and diagnostics and cause and effect funcationality can be set up through the configurator. 

The Config software along with Mesh Analyser can easily be downloaded by trained Installers on Cygnus’ customer support portal. The outcome is a more efficient installation and commissioning process, ensuring installers and end-users have a robust and stable network.
