Located at the company’s headquarters in Hereford, the Cygnus Academy provides a modern, comfortable and fully equipped environment where installers can complete the one-day SmartNet training course to become Cygnus Certified Partners. The course combines both theoretical and hands-on practical training to enable participants to complete successful installations.

By the end of the day, installers will be able to design and fit a system correctly and provide a high quality service to their customers.
A word on our trainer
James Gilligan is a Senior Training and Technical Solutions Specialist at Cygnus. He has more than 25 years’ experience within the fire and security arena, 15 years of those in senior technical positions.
James has Member status of the IFSM & a Tier 4 Fire Risk Assessor and validator, is an IFE member. He leads the training at the Cygnus Academy where his role is to deliver SmartNet training so that installers can become certified to install the 100% wireless and EN 54 certified fire detection and alarm system.
The training room gives participants a comfortable and inviting area to learn. There will be a maximum of eight people in each training session to allow for everyone to get involved and have the best experience whilst taking part in the training.
